WORK LESS WEDNESDAY
WLW #137
ð Hey Reader!
This is issue #137 of Work Less Wednesday, where I share with you 5 things you should know about, in 5 minutes or less. That leaves you with 10,075 other minutes this week.
ð 1. Decisions vs. Strategy – 30 Minute Training

Our client Dan is a badass.
He runs GuitarZoom, a music education business that’s made over $30m in the last 15 years.
This week he watched this video and said:
“If I had understood this concept 20 years ago, my life would be radically different.”
If an 8-figure entrepreneur thinks a 30 minute video is worth more than $30k, it might be worth paying attention to.
Prior to this week, this video only existed for our clients.
But I uploaded it here for everyone in Work Less Wednesday for free (you’re welcome):
âSlow down and watch it here.â
Let me know what you think.
ðŽ 2. Concept I’m Thinking About – Being Your Word
I’m through my second reading of “The Ultimate Coach” – the biography of The Ultimate Coach Steve Hardison.
Steve charges $200,000 for his coaching and has worked with world-changing clients like Iyanla Vanzant.
The concept I’m thinking about this week is called: “Being Your Word.”
Here’s how it works (it’s really simple):
You do what you say you’re going to do.
Every time.
Sounds simple right?
Try it. Simple isn’t easy.
“It is surprising how frequently people don’t do what they say they will do… Most people say, ‘Let’s get lunch on Tuesday,’ knowing it isn’t going to happen. They don’t even have the intention of making it happen… We live in a world that isn’t rigorous about being your word. We let each other off for not being our word.”
There is power in Being Your Word.
Not only externally, but to yourself.
How many promises do you break to others and to yourself on a daily basis?
Based on Steve’s experience, most people think they keep their word 90% of the time.
When they are asked to track it, the result is something like 20%.
And these are HIGH FUNCTIONING people at the top of their game paying $200k for coaching.
So I offer you this challenge…
Keep track of how many times you say you’re going to do something (to yourself, or others), and then whether you do it or not.
You’ll learn a lot.
