🎙️ 1. 10 Lessons I Learned About Entrepreneurship & Life In 2024 – New Podcast Episode
This was a crazy year for me.
- I shut down my agency.
- Bought a house.
- Survived a hurricane.
- Launched a new program in stealth.
- Shared publicly that I’m a person in long term recovery.
- Took some big risks in my business.
- …and that’s just the highlights. 🤣
I spent the last 2 weeks reflecting on everything I learned.
Those insights turned into this podcast.
In this video, I break down my 10 biggest lessons of 2024 including:
#1 How sharing my addiction recovery story helped me align my life and business
#4 The difference between “Serving” and “Servicing” clients
#5 Why more entrepreneurs should be thinking about scaling with price
#7 Why “Strategic Originality” is the only way to beat AI in 2025
#8 How to create “Idea Space” in your life and business
FYI: You can also listen as an audio podcast here.
🧠 2. Chart I’m Thinking About – 30 Elements Of Value

I shared The 30 Elements of Value with some of my clients who were struggling to understand the value of the work.
They wanted to charge higher prices, but didn’t “get” why they should.
Most entrepreneurs think their work’s value is limited to “Functional Value” (the bottom of the pyramid). Things like:
- Doing deliverables, being efficient, responding to emails quickly, etc.
That is just a small piece of the puzzle.
Our clients “True Value” is often things like:
- Creating transformations, empathy, creativity, taste, wisdom.
These are the gifts and talents that are so second nature to them they don’t even realize how valuable they are.
So they shift back down to focusing on “Functional Value.”
But here’s the crazy thing:
“True Value” is what clients will pay a ton of money for.
If you’re curious about where your value truly lies, this chart is a good place to start.
🌿 3. New Plant Acquisition – Money Tree from Easyplant

We lost all of our houseplants in the hurricane, including some that were over 20 years old, and a Money Tree that I got when I started my business. 😢
I got this plant as a gift from my sister and brother-in-law for my birthday.
We’ve ordered plants online before but this new Money Tree is one of the healthiest specimens I’ve received.
And not only that, Easyplant has some cool self-watering technology built into their pots so you only have to water the plant once a month!
4. Documentary I Loved – Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary

My wife and I love Yacht Rock.
There were Yacht Rock songs in our wedding.
So what is Yacht Rock?
“Yacht rock is a music style that’s known for its smooth melodies, clean vocals, and high-quality production. It’s often associated with soft rock, and was popular in the 1970s and 1980s.”
Examples of artists: Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Toto, Christopher Cross, etc.
Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary is easily the best documentary about the genre.
If you want a taste, here’s a decent Spotify playlist, or just listen to SiriusXM Yacht Rock Radio.
Anyways, the documentary is awesome.
