WORK LESS WEDNESDAY

WLW #206

August 12, 2026

👋 Hey Reader!

This is issue #206 of Work Less Wednesday, where I share with you 5 things you should know about, in 5 minutes or less. That leaves you with 10,075 other minutes this week.

🧠 1. Site I’m Continuing To Returning To – Antislop

Came across this site online a few months ago and have found myself returning to it often.

Antislop is a curated collection of 5 links, every day.

“That’s it. No algorithm. No infinite feed. Five links. Here today, gone tomorrow.”

I’ve continued to find useful things on this site, including these articles:

🎙️ 2. Podcast I Enjoyed This Week – How to Start When You’re Stuck, Finish What You Begin, and Stop Waiting for Inspiration by Tim Ferriss

Where is your bad writing?

This podcast found me at the right time, as I am currently in a season that involves a lot of writing (more on that soon! 😉).

It is a highlight reel of conversations that Tim has had with guests over the years, all focused on these kind of questions:

  • How do you choose a project and stay with it?
  • How do you begin when inspiration refuses to show up?
  • How do you build a practice that reliably produces pages?
  • And how do you keep going when you fear your pages are terrible?

I recommend this to anyone with a creative practice that involves some degree of discipline.

Check out out here.

🤖 3. Document Worth Reading – Clay’s AI Writing Policy

Obsessed with the startup Clay‘s internal AI writing policy – I wish I wrote it lol.

I believe everyone should abide something similar to this, read it below:

🃏 4. Event I Participated In Recently – Magic The Gathering The Hobbit Prerelease

As many of you are aware, I am a man with many hobbies – one of which is playing Magic: The Gathering.

This is a holdover from my time as a competitive pro gamer playing the digital card game Hearthstone, where I traveled the world and won some tournaments. (Who can forget Blizzcon 2017?)

Recently I went over to my local game store to play a quick tournament to celebrate the release of Magic’s latest set, which is themed after The Hobbit.

I had a great time and opened some good packs – you can see some pictures here:

NB: You’d be surprised how much some of these cards are worth. (Ex. The Arkenstone is $157 😳)
