WORK LESS WEDNESDAY
🏖️ 1. How To Work Less Cohort II Kicks Off In 2 Months! – Save The Date!
For all the planners out there, I’m pleased to announce that Cohort II of 🏖️How To Work Less will kick off on September 5!
HTWL is my hands-on guide to building your business around your life, instead of the other way around.
If you’re a freelancer, creator, or self-employed, this course is for you.
In it, you’ll learn the exact mindset, systems, and productivity strategies I used to build my $500k one-person business, while working just 15 hours a week on it.
Cohort II is going to be epic, so make sure to mark your calendar!
Enrollment begins on August 28 and spots will be limited.
📒 2. Book I Read This Week – The Body Keeps The Score by Bessel Van der Kolk, MD
This book has been on my radar for a years.
I’ve heard it recommended on podcasts constantly.
It was tremendously powerful, but not for the faint of heart.
This book uses recent scientific advances to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers’ capacities for pleasure, engagement, self-control, and trust.
But here’s the thing: Trauma is not just PTSD from the battlefield, it’s much more pervasive than you’d think.
About 6 of every 10 men (or 60%) and 5 of every 10 women (or 50%) experience at least one form of trauma in their lives.
Fortunately there’s hope.
Some of the many cutting edge treatments he features in the book include EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), HRV (heart rate variability) training, yoga, and neurofeedback.
If you’re up for it, this book is worthy of a read.
🤔 3. 4 Questions For Better Productivity – From Justin Welsh
Amazing blog post from Justin Welsh on how to improve your weekly productivity.
His process follows a path through four questions:
- What can I eliminate? Learn to start saying “No.”
- What can I simplify? Turn complex things into a simple process.
- What can I automate? Use apps/automation to streamline processes.
- What can I delegate? Let go of control using process documents & videos.
Read the whole thing, it only takes 4 minutes.
🤑 4. How To Charge More (Or Stay Stuck Charging Less) – Tweets From Chris Do
Straight facts on charging more money from my business coach, Chris Do.
Funny how both of these process begin with self-esteem… 🤔
🧠 5. Movie That Melted My Brain This Week – Crimes of The Future (2022)
My wife & I are huge David Cronenberg heads.
We’ve seen nearly all his movies.
His first written & directed film in 10 years does not disappoint.
Body horror, surgery as performance art, and… “The Breakfaster.”
It’s a wild ride.
Bonus: We also watched Cronenberg’s 1999 eXistenZ this week.
Holy crap. Watch that one too. 🐸
