📚 My Top 5 Books of 2021

This week, I’m doing things a little bit different.

Rather than giving 5 things you need to know, I’ve got 5 books you need to read.

In 2021, I read 45 books (will probably finish 1 or 2 more before Jan. 1). These are my top 5.

These books are on the list because they changed the way I think, act, or felt this year. I recommend all five of these books without reservation. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

1. Company of One – Paul Jarvis

Mr. Jarvis and I share many of the same ideas. This book perfectly explains my philosophy on business: It’s possible to work for yourself, set your own hours, and become a (highly profitable) and sustainable company of one.

2. Write Useful Books – Rob Fitzpatrick

Since I started posting on Instagram in June, I think a lot about how to write and communicate clearly. This book took my writing to the next level. If you have to write for work, read this. It’s just 144 pages.

3. Piranesi – Susanna Clarke

The only nonfiction book on the list, this one stuck with me even though I read it in early 2021. Dive into it knowing as little as possible. Prepare to be confused for the first 10 pages. It pays off.

4. $100M Offers – Alex Hormozi

The subtitle of this book is: “How to make offers so good, people feel stupid saying no.” It delivers. This book has the highest level of business value to words per page of any book I’ve read this year.

5. The ONE Thing – Gary Keller

My 2022 is going to be much different thanks to this book. And what’s better – this book was recommend by YOU. Many times. Now I finally know why.
